Mets leave Zack Short off Sunday lineup
The New York Mets did not list Zack Short in their starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Short will move back to the bench Sunday while Brett Baty takes over at third base and hits seventh against right-hander Colin Rea. Short could be the Mets' starter against lefty pitchers as long as the Mets try to protect Baty from lefthanders.
Short went 1-for-3 at the plate in his 2024 debut.
