Connor Joe sitting Friday for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder/first baseman Connor Joe is not in the lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Grayson Rodriguez and the Baltimore Orioles.
Joe hit a two-run dinger, scored twice, and drew a pair of walks against a righty on Thursday, but he will take a seat for Friday's opener. Andrew McCutchen will take over at designated hitter and bat fifth.
numberFire's models project McCutchen for 9.2 FanDuel points on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates' implied total (3.54) is No. 21 out of 26 active teams today.
