Blue Jays give Justin Turner Sunday afternoon off
The Toronto Blue Jays did not list Justin Turner as a starter for Sunday's game against the New York Yankees.
Turner will take a seat Sunday while the Blue Jays work Isiah Kiner-Falefa into the lineup at second base and have the journeyman infielder bat eighth. Ernie Clement will cover third base.
Turner is projected for 507 more plate appearances this season, with 14 home runs, 58 runs, 58 RBI, 1 stolen base, and a .246 batting average.
