Francisco Alvarez absent Tuesday for Mets
New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander Reynaldo Lopez and the Atlanta Braves.
Alvarez will take a seat after going 0-for-5 with 2 strikeouts in Monday's series opener. Omar Narvaez will catch for Adrian Houser and hit ninth on Tuesday. Pete Alonso will move down a spot and hit cleanup for the first time this season. Starling Marte will bat second and Francisco Lindor will hit third.
