Marlins putting Jake Burger (oblique) on injured list
The Miami Marlins will place infielder Jake Burger on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique injury.
Burger injured his oblique in Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The Marlins will call up infielder Otto Lopez in a corresponding roster move, but Emmanuel Rivera will likely take over as the everyday third baseman. Burger indicated that he expects to return after the required 10 days.
Burger is averaging 10.3 FanDuel points per game, while slashing .228/.281/.421 with 3 homers and 15 RBI across 64 plate appearances.
