Mets' Zach Short on bench Monday
New York Mets infielder Zack Short is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Martin Perez and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Short entered the lineup on Sunday for the second time this season and went 0-for-2 with 2 strikeouts. Brett Baty will reclaim the hot corner from Short on Monday and bat fifth. Tyrone Taylor will move down three spots and hit eighth.
numberFire's models project Baty for 7.4 and Taylor for 9.2 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets' implied total (4.41) is No. 10 in the majors today.
