Miguel Amaya idle Wednesday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Brandon Pfaadt and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
What It Means:
Amaya went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, 2 RBI, and a run scored on Tuesday night, but he will sit for the day game. Yan Gomes will catch for Jordan Wicks and bat eighth. Mike Tauchman will also replace Alexander Canario in right field and hit seventh.
