Blue Jays place J.A. Happ (elbow) on 10-day disabled list
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to April 17, with left elbow inflammation.
An MRI confirmed Happ isn't dealing with anything serious after he was forced to leave Sunday's game early with elbow soreness. Aaron Sanchez (blister) is also out and the Blue Jays haven't said what they're going to do with their rotation moving forward.
Through three starts (16 innings) this season, Happ owns a decent 4.50 ERA, but his much more impressive 2.13 xFIP is on pace for a career high.
