4 NBA Defenses to Exploit in Daily Fantasy Basketball
Indiana Pacers
With a pace of 100 possessions per 48 minutes (7th in the NBA) and an adjusted defensive rating of 113.75 (27th), the Pacers sport a true points allowed per game of 112.56.
As we alluded to above, what that says is that Nate McMillan's defense is there to be taken advantage of. More possessions and more points equal extra DFS points.
The best positions to target are the point guard, shooting guard and power forward positions. Jeff Teague, Monta Ellis and Thaddeus Young have defensive ratings of 112, 113 and 112 points allowed per 100 possessions, respectively.
Don't be bold and target Paul George and Myles Turner, as both are much better defenders than their current ratings indicate. They posted ratings of 101 a year ago.
As for three-point specialists, don't be afraid to target them against Indiana. The Pacers have allowed per-game averages of 10.4 makes on 29.6 three-point attempts -- which rank 25th and 26th, respectively, in the league.
