25. Philadelphia 76ers

I'm sure this comes as a surprise to many who follow the NBA today, but the Philadelphia 76ers actually rank eighth in average defensive rating among all franchises. That defensive success mainly stems from the Larry Brown and Doug Collins years at the helm when the Sixers were commonly better relative to the league's average defensive rating.

Now for the bad news. Over those same 16 seasons the Sixers rank 29th offensively, 28th in effective field goal percentage and 24th in nERD. Their composite ranking of 114 keeps them from the bottom five.
