The 7 Best NBA Performances From Last Week: Butler Gets Buckets
3. Kyle Lowry vs. Los Angeles Lakers
This year, the Los Angeles Lakers rank 28th in the league in defensive rating while playing at the league's 5th-highest pace, according to Basketball Reference. So, it goes without saying that they've seen their fair share of big games put up on them this season. Last Sunday, Kyle Lowry did just that.
Lowry scored 2 more points (41) than he played minutes (39) while contributing 9 rebounds and 7 assists to boot. As he did later in the week against the Jazz, Lowry used over 29% of his team's possessions, but he didn't need all that many shots to have a big game.
Lowry took 16 shots and missed only 4. His damage came via 11 free throws and a true shooting of 98.4%. Shooting the lights out like that gets you a nERD of 64.76 in a 9-point road win over the Lakers.
Still Plan B? I think not.
Remember when picking up Kyle Lowry was Plan B because Steve Nash signed with the Lakers? #RTZ
