Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Jahlil Okafor is a nice value at his price while filling in for Joel Embiid tonight, but the circumstances of this slate may keep his ownership in check. With fine value plays available at point guard, shooting guard, and power forward, most daily fantasy players won't feel the need to spend down with their one center spot on FanDuel.

With exciting top options such as Karl-Anthony Towns, DeAndre Jordan, and Rudy Gobert available, it seems even more unlikely that they'll spend down on Okafor.

Why You Should Use Him:

According to nbawowy.com, no Philadelphia 76ers player has a higher usage rate with Embiid out of the lineup than Okafor's 24.7%. In games without him, Okafor has averaged 24 FanDuel points. While that's not spectacular, it does reach value at his current price point.

He also showcased solid upside against the Washington Wizards earlier this month, putting up 37.8 FanDuel points in Embiid's stead.

Okafor will face off against DeAndre Jordan and the Los Angeles Clippers tonight, and while Jordan is thought of as an elite defender, the Clippers have been just average against centers. They've allowed the 15th-most FanDuel points to opposing centers, as well as the ninth-most points in the post.

His status is still in question, so keep an eye on the injury news leading up to tipoff. If he is forced to sit, Nerlens Noel would become an intriguing play. However, if in the lineup, Okafor has the potential to crush value in a matchup that may not be quite as intimidating as it appears.
