3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 3/8/17
Cory Joseph, PG, Toronto Raptors
FanDuel Price: $5,000
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
While we were all excited to play Cory Joseph when he was initially filling in for Kyle Lowry, the luster has worn off -- he has shown limited upside in his time as a starter. With a stacked point guard player pool, he isn't likely to be overly popular.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Joseph hasn't put up huge numbers in Lowry's stead, he has been a steady source of value, averaging 23.8 FanDuel points since the All-Star Break. He's coming off of a 31-FanDuel-point performance and will look to carry that momentum into tonight's matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans.
New Orleans has allowed the seventh-most FanDuel points to opposing point guards, which makes them the easiest individual matchup Joseph has had over his past five games. Considering the 33.3 minutes per game he is seeing, he should have every opportunity to take advantage.
With DeMar DeRozan controlling the offense, Joseph doesn't have the top-end upside many elite point guards on this slate do. However, he's priced behind some backup point guards at just $5,000, and should have no trouble exceeding value in this excellent matchup.
