The 12 Best Individual NBA Playoff Performances Over the Past 30 Years
5. Michael Jordan, 4/20/1986
In April of 1986, Michael Jordan was 23 years old and playing in the second playoffs series of his career. That didn't stop His Airness from putting up a performance for the ages in just his sixth playoff game ever. Jordan's Bulls were no match for Bird and the experienced Celtics, but even in a losing effort, he impressed.
In a 135-131 loss, MJ pushed the Celtics throughout on the back of 63 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. While using 44.5% of Chicago possessions, he made 22 of 41 from the field, accounting for an offensive rating of 127. His Game Score of 47.2 was simply not enough against the eventual NBA champions.
