Win Shares: 753.6

California is the biggest state in size and population, and it is the state with the most players to make it into the league. The best among them is Reggie Miller, who yielded 174.4 win shares in 1,389 games. He averaged 18.2 points on his way to five All-Star appearances and a place in the Hall of Fame.

With 150 win shares, Paul Pierce joins Miller at the top. He has played more than 18 seasons of which 10 have resulted in All-Star bids. In four of them, he was voted to the All-NBA team, with one resulting in a league championship and Finals MVP.

Gary Payton stems from roughly the same NBA era. Like Pierce, he also has an NBA championship along with 145.5 win shares. He was voted nine-time All-NBA and made his way into the Hall of Fame class of 2013.
