5. Florida

Win Shares: 697.1

A football state? Sure, but there have been plenty of Hall of Fame players to come out of Florida. Chief among them is Artis Gilmore, who played 17 seasons in the league and, in doing so, went to 11 All-Star games, won one MVP and one NBA championship. He ended his career with 189.7 total win shares.

David Robinson isn't far behind Gilmore with 178.7 win shares. In 987 games, the Admiral averaged 21.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. He was a 10-time All-Star, one-time MVP and two-time champion.

Rounding out the top three is Vince Carter, who, spread across nearly 19 seasons, has 121.7 win shares and eight All-Star appearances to his credit. He is a two-time All-NBA performer and has scored 24,474 points in his tenure.
