Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Center is also pretty loaded tonight, which should keep Clint Capela's ownership down.
Karl-Anthony Towns draws a dream matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers and has immense upside. If daily fantasy players don't want to pay all the way up, DeAndre Jordan, Jusuf Nurkic, and Andre Drummond are all in terrific spots and priced fairly conservatively.
Why You Should Use Him:
Capela has been a steady presence for the Houston Rockets and fantasy owners, averaging 29.9 FanDuel points over his past five games, with his lowest scoring game during that span being 26.8 FanDuel points.
Tonight, he will do battle with a Portland Trail Blazers frontcourt who has struggled against opposing bigs (allowing the 12th-most FanDuel points to opposing centers). They rank 23rd in defensive efficiency on the year, but rank 28th since Nurkic has joined the team, according to nbawowy.com.
Portland also has had their shots blocked more than all but five teams, which is exciting news for the defensive-minded Capela.
The Houston big man has shown enough consistency to warrant cash-game consideration at his price, but there are enough terrific center options that he isn't a must. Given how well the matchup fits, he is a viable salary-saving play in all formats.
