Minnesota Timberwolves

The 2004 Minnesota Timberwolves went 58-24 and earned themselves a nERD of 70.5. Accordingly, they ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in offensive rating and defensive rating thanks to the likes of Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell.

As the 1 seed out West, the Timberwolves won two straight playoff series over the Nuggets and Sacramento Kings. They then lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals in six games.
