3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 4/21/17
Victor Oladipo, SG, Oklahoma City Thunder
FanDuel Price: $5,900
Projected FanDuel Points: 28.9
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.89
The results have yet to come for Victor Oladipo through the first two games of the playoffs, as he has averaged just 22.7 FanDuel points. Everything you could want from a role perspective has been there though, as Oladipo has averaged 36.5 minutes and 13 field goal attempts. Assuming that his 19.2% field goal percentage begins to resemble anything close to his 44.2% mark from the regular season, Oladipo should start putting up bigger scoring totals.
Among the teams on this slate, none defended shooting guards worse than the Houston Rockets this season, who allowed the fourth-most FanDuel points in the league to the position. Oladipo averaged 31.4 FanDuel points in four regular season meetings with Houston, a number which seems very attainable if he can find his shooting stroke.
Oladipo should benefit from a positive game script in this one as well, as the Oklahoma City Thunder's 113.25-point implied team total is the highest on the slate, and the 224-point over/under is 17 points higher than the next-highest total. OKC's implied team total is 6.7 points above their season scoring average, which is very rare for the playoffs.
All things considered, Oladipo should be able to bounce back on his home court tonight. His price is low enough that he's not going to sink your lineup if he keeps playing the way he has, but he could crush value if he plays the way he is capable.
