3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 4/22/17
Wayne Selden Jr., SG, Memphis Grizzlies
FanDuel Price: $2,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 8.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 3.14
It appeared Wayne Selden Jr.'s short time of limited fantasy relevancy was over when word came out that he would move to the bench for Game 3, but Selden instead played a playoff-high 28 minutes and put up 15.9 FanDuel points. That might not seem like much, but that output easily exceeds value at his price tag.
With Tony Allen again not expected to play tonight, Selden should continue to see 20 to 30 minutes of playing time for the Memphis Grizzlies. While he isn't a high-upside option, failing to surpass the 20-FanDuel-point mark in any of his previous eight games, he has totaled at least 5 FanDuel points per $1,000 at this salary in half of those eight games.
Selden isn't an exciting option, but if Allen is out again, he should see close to 30 minutes. He serves as an excellent salary-saving play who can help fit in the likes of a Giannis Antetokounmpo, John Wall, or Kawhi Leonard.
