3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 10/19/17

Paul Zipser, SF/PF, Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are an absolute dumpster fire, and the 12.5-point spread in this game actually seems rather conservative. However, given their incredible lack of depth at this point, it will be hard for them not to give Paul Zipser huge minutes. They will be without Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Cameron Payne, Bobby Portis, Nikola Mirotic, and likely Quincy Pondexter for this one. Zipser will likely start at the three, but he may spend a lot of time playing the four, as well, as Markkanen is the only other real option there.

Anyone who rostered players from the Phoenix Suns last night understands the risk there is with a situation like this, even if a player seems like a lock for minutes. With Alex Len and Alan Williams both out, it appeared that there would be huge minutes for Phoenix frontcourt players, but that didn't end up being the case, as they watched from the sideline in a 50-point blowout loss. While that situation is obviously an outlier and tough to predict, it is one in which the Bulls could find themselves on any given night. So, while Zipser and other Chicago value plays look great on-paper, don't go overboard with them.
