3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 10/30/17
Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves
DraftKings Salary: $9,000
All it took was a 66.25 DraftKings from Karl-Anthony Towns for DraftKings to realize that he had been underpriced at his mid-$8k price tag for the past week. He's up to $9,000, but still is quite affordable considering his upside in this matchup.
The Miami Heat are traditionally thought of as a solid defense against opposing bigs, but that hasn't been the case without the interior presence of Hassan Whiteside. Miami ranks 27th in rebounding rate this season, and their defensive efficiency has fallen to 21st. They've also played at a quicker pace than we're accustomed to see from one of last season's slowest squads. Miami ranks 15th in pace of play so far, after ranking in the bottom-10 in pace and top-5 in defensive efficiency last season.
While rostering any Minnesota Timberwolves stud has been a scary proposition thus far, we are starting to get a better idea how their offense will look. Towns leads the team in usage (27%), down just 0.5% from 2016-17, as opposed to Andrew Wiggins (24.7%) and Jimmy Butler (19.8%), who are both down quite a bit from last season. Towns has seen his usage on a steady incline too, as evidenced by the chart below.
All of which is why KAT could be a terrific play tonight.
