NBA Market Share Report: Oladipo Flow, Boogie Gone Bonkers, and Reggie Revived
Boogie Fever
Production at the center position has taken a hit this season due to early injuries suffered by Hassan Whiteside and Myles Turner.
DeMarcus Cousins, however, has gone bonkers and positioned himself as the best DFS center option on a nightly basis.
Boogie's price tag has mirrored his astounding production. After starting the season at $10,200, his cost has skyrocketed by more than 17 percent to as high as $12,000. It's currently hovering right around $11,500.
That said, his 62 FanDuel points per game make him not only the top scoring center through eight games by a pretty nice margin, but also the top scoring player in all of fantasy hoops, just edging out Giannis Antetokounmpo.
And even for those who like to gripe and whine about salaries that would seem to otherwise cripple the rest of your roster (ahem, me), Cousins is one of the better values on the board, averaging a little more than five times value through eight games, including six games of at least 60 points. He also dropped 79- and 73-point explosions, so the opportunity for a monster night is a thing.
You don’t necessarily have to beef up at the position every night, and it’ll certainly depend on the type of game you’re playing. But always keep this beast on your radar, whether you're rostering him yourself or choosing the unfortunate path of going against him.
The Pelicans are set to hit the road for four straight, including tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks, followed up by the Chicago Bulls tomorrow and the Pacers and Toronto Raptors next week.
