3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 11/6/17
T.J. Warren, SF/PF, Phoenix Suns
DraftKings Salary: $5,700
T.J. Warren got red-hot last week, averaging 39.9 DraftKings points over a four-game stretch, during which time he maintained a 30.3% usage rate. Following a 61.5-point outburst on Wednesday, Warren was a chalky pick on Friday, a game in which he left in the first half with a head injury. He was able to suit up for the Phoenix Suns' game on Sunday, but only put up 22.75 DraftKings points in a blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
While Warren's last couple of outings have been disappointing, there are some positive takeaways. He was aggressive in each game, posting a usage rate over 30% in each of his past three. He's averaged 0.68 shot attempts per minute during that span. For reference, Kristaps Porzingis leads the NBA with 0.67 shots per minute.
Clearly, that is a small sample size. But how often do we get to target a player being that aggressive offensively at this price? We haven't even mentioned the fact that he is facing a Brooklyn Nets squad ranked first in pace of play and 27th in defensive efficiency. Just last week, Warren put up 37.25 DraftKings points against Brooklyn -- a game in which he was limited to 25 minutes due to foul trouble. His salary indicates that he needs just 28.5 DraftKings points to reach value in this one, which seems like a very attainable number if Warren continues to be so aggressive. He is a strong play in any format.
