3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 11/28/17
Tyus Jones, PG/SG, Minnesota Timberwolves
DraftKings Salary: $4,300
Jeff Teague has missed the past two games for the Minnesota Timberwolves with an achilles issue and is currently listed as a game-time decision. It'd be surprising to see him push that injury, and if he does sit, Tyus Jones becomes a very strong play at this price tag. He needs just 21.5 DraftKings points to reach five-times his salary-implied value, which he has blown out of the water recently.
Jones has averaged 37.5 DraftKings points in two games without Teague, which obviously would crush value at this salary. It is worth noting that he has averaged a block and 5.5 steals during those games, which seems pretty unsustainable and has boosted his DraftKings scoring significantly.
Either way, Jones is a great option in a head-to-head matchup against another undersized guard in Tim Frazier, who is not known for his defense. Jones should also benefit from the fact that the Wolves have a slate-leading implied team total (109.25 points), while the over/under in this game is the highest on the slate. As long as we get news that Teague is out prior to lineup lock, Jones is a set-and-forget value play in all formats.
