3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/20/17

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without both Brook Lopez and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope tonight and are playing in the game with the highest over/under on the slate by a wide margin. They were without KCP last Thursday as well, and they went with an eight-man rotation. Josh Hart started and finished with 32 DraftKings points in 33 minutes in that game. With Lopez now out as well, their rotation could tighten up even further.

The 10 rebounds and nearly a DraftKings point per minute were probably an aberration -- Hart is averaging just 0.62 DraftKings points per minute on the year. His six rebounds per-36 minutes is above average for a guard, but is not indicative of someone who will be a regular double-double threat.

So, be sure to temper your expectations when it comes to Hart's ceiling. He isn't likely to go for 10-times his salary implied value again. He could easily pay off his salary at minimum price though, as he needs just 15 DraftKings points to do so. Assuming that no higher-upside values open up throughout the day, Hart is a viable punt play in any format.
