NBA Market Share Report: Rolling With a Marksman in Lauri Markkanen
All Smiles With Trey Lyles?
With Paul Millsap still sidelined following wrist surgery, the opportunity to ride the value wave with Trey Lyles has felt a little insistent. And for good reason.
Over his last 10 games, Lyles has reached at least five-times value in seven outings, scoring double figures in each while averaging eight rebounds a night. He’s put up 31 FanDuel points per game over that span and is doing so at an average salary of $5,650.
Frugal owners would prefer to see Lyles’ salary revert back to what it was around the holidays, but if his last five games to start the new year are any indication, the cost appears to be sticking above the $6,000 mark. Still, he’s a valuable option as a guy looking to make as much of the minutes he’s being given on a Nuggets team that can score.
Lyles and the Nuggets take on Memphis Friday night, followed by the Spurs Saturday and the Mavs, Clippers, and Suns next week.
