3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 1/23/18

Joffrey Lauvergne, PF/C, San Antonio Spurs

DraftKings Salary: $3,300

Another potentially popular San Antonio value play is Joffrey Lauvergne, who will presumably step into the starting lineup for Gasol. He has made one start for the Spurs this season, a game in which he played 25 minutes. He put up only 17 DraftKings points (which is still plenty at this price), but it was as tough of a spot start as you can find as he faced the Utah Jazz.

Lauvergne's season average is 0.85 DraftKings points per minute, which has jumped slightly to 0.87 without Leonard and Gasol. If we saw that type of production in 25 minutes of action tonight, he'd put up 21.75 DraftKings points -- a total which would easily crush value at his price tag.

Don't expect a huge ceiling from Lauvergne, but do not be afraid to roster him against a soft Cavs defense if we get word that Lauvergne is in the starting lineup. Likewise, Davis Bertans ($3,700) would be a terrific tournament option if San Antonio goes small and starts Aldridge at the five and Bertans at the four.
