3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 1/30/18
Stephen Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors
Price: $10,000
Not quite as expensive as the other two, Stephen Curry is a strong option if you're looking to build a more balanced lineup and not break the bank with your top-end play.
It's come to be expected from Curry by now, but he's been doing some silly things on the offensive end lately. Since returning from injury in late December, he has a massive .711 effective field goal percentage on a 30.7% usage rate while averaging 31.5 points, 6.5 assists and 5.3 boards per game. That's all good for an average nightly output of 49.2 FanDuel points.
With most players, shooting like that actually makes them a less appealing fantasy play, as their price tags soar while regression in their efficiency is all but inevitable. Curry is one of the best shooters in league history, though. Even with regression, we can expect a sky-high effective field goal percentage (he's sporting a mark of .622 on the year), and his price tag hasn't actually climbed much, with that 49.2-FanDuel-point average representing very nearly five-times value on today's salary.
Usually solid on the defensive end, the Utah Jazz have been vulnerable against point guards this year, allowing above-average fantasy numbers to the position. Curry's in a good spot to keep rolling tonight.
