3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 3/2/18
DeMar DeRozan, SG/SF, Toronto Raptors
DraftKings Salary: $7,500
DeMar DeRozan has picked up right where he left off prior to the All-Star Break, averaging 40 DraftKings points in three games since the break. Despite strong play, his price tag has dropped $600 over the past five days.
At this price tag, he needs just 37.5 DraftKings points to hit value (5 points per every $1,000 in salary), a mark which he has hit in all three of his previous meetings with the Washington Wizards. In fact, this has been a matchup that DeRozan has dominated throughout his career. He's averaged 45.3 DraftKings points in three games against Washington this season, after averaging 48.8 in three meetings with them last year.
DeRozan has been somewhat inconsistent recently, but that has largely been out of his control. The Toronto Raptors have been blowing out teams left and right, which has left him with very volatile minutes. Luckily, the game script looks much cleaner tonight, as his Raptors have the fifth-highest implied team total on the slate and the highest total among teams with a spread of seven or less points. Vegas expects it to stay close, listing the Raps as 3.5-point road favorites.
Our projections list DeRozan as the best value of any player priced above $6,000. He is projected to be the 11th-highest scorer on the slate despite being tied as just the 22nd-most expensive player. At this price, DeRozan is a viable play in both cash games and tournaments.
