3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 3/19/18

The Charlotte Hornets announced that Nicolas Batum will be shut down for the foreseeable future with an Achilles issue, and that opens up big minutes for Jeremy Lamb. The only potential problem is that Lamb has been dealing with a back issue, so Charlotte may be a bit more conservative with his playing time.

If he is feeling healthy enough to play a starter's workload, Lamb becomes a screaming value at this price tag, something our projections make quite clear. He all but broke our models today, coming in with a ridiculous value score of 8.07 DraftKings points per every $1,000 in salary. He needs just 21 DraftKings points to hit value at this price tag, but our projections have him scoring 33.9.

Lamb is averaging 0.98 DraftKings points per minute on the year and 1.02 with Batum off the floor, so if he sees anywhere near 30 minutes of playing time, he should have no problem crushing value at this price. Keep an eye on the news out of Charlotte -- if Lamb is in the starting lineup, he is a lock in all formats. If he is coming off the bench, that may be an indication that he isn't ready to play big minutes, which would make him more of a tournament play.
