The first rookies go off the board here in Round 5, with Brett Oswalt taking Deandre Ayton at 51, and Jordan Sharp snagging Luka Doncic at 56. Rookies with lofty ADPs in fantasy hoops rarely live up to their price tags, but we've got Ayton at 71 in our projections, and Doncic at 61, making them both reasonable picks here.

Robert Covington (93.0 ADP, 37th in our rankings) and Hassan Whiteside (60.0 ADP, 51st in our rankings) are both featured in our breakouts column this season, so they are both good picks in this range. Julius Randle (54.0 ADP, 105th in our rankings), however, is someone we have pegged as a bust.

My pick: Al Horford has not been the perennial top-20 player he was in Atlanta over his two years with the Celtics, but I was perfectly fine snagging him with the 50th pick after he finished 43rd in nine-category leagues last year and 34th the year before. My team needed the rebounds and blocks after going guard-heavy the first few rounds, and the extra assists that Horford gives you from the center position are always a nice bonus.
