Siakam Does It All

As one of the more pleasant surprises of the last week, Pascal Siakam has been a huge get for both season-long and daily fantasy owners alike. Not only has Siakam filled in for lost production when Kawhi Leonard takes the night off, but he’s also demonstrated the ability to jive alongside Leonard, working efficiently on both ends of the floor.

Siakam has dropped more than 40 fantasy points in back-to-back games, leading to extremely gaudy production to the tune of 10-times and 9-times value. While this is likely to lead to an uptick in salary, Siakam has the versatility to maintain his worth. At this point, we’ve been spoiled with salaries in the mid-$4000s, but trending into the next tier isn’t nearly enough to scare us off.

Scoring hasn’t been a worry for Siakam thus far -- shooting nearly 60 percent from the floor with an offensive rating of 114 -- and his seven rebounds a game help to make up a nice chunk of production. He’s also a valuable defender, which not only leads to more minutes but is also a nice boost to fantasy output, like his seven steals in two games.

The Siakam ride is a fun one, and it’s dependable for as long as his salary remains a steal.

The Raptors hit the road for a game against the Suns tonight, followed by trips to see the Lakers, Jazz, and Kings next week.
