3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 11/13/18
James Harden, SG, Houston Rockets
Price: $11,500
Second only to Durant in salary tonight, James Harden is also well worth paying up for on Tuesday's short three-game slate.
Harden's brief injury absence doesn't seem to have any lingering effects, as his last three games have seen him play 37.5, 38.5 and 38.0 minutes, and in his last outing he posted his second-highest fantasy score of the season (58.9 FanDuel points).
Overall this year, we've seen a dip in efficiency for Harden. His 1.36 FanDuel points per minute are not a bad mark by any stretch, but they are underwhelming when compared to his marks of 1.53 and 1.50 over the last two seasons. A big part of this can be chalked up to a decline in efficiency on 2-point field goals, where his .474 field goal percentage sits well below the .530 and .531 clips he shot in the last two years. Small-sample efficiency woes like that are highly prone to variance though, and unless we see that hold up over a much longer time, we can expect Harden's efficiency to bounce back.
The Denver Nuggets don't make for a great matchup, but we can't be as picky in that area on a three-game slate. Harden has averaged at least 53 FanDuel points per game in each of his last two seasons, and if Sunday night's performance is any indication, he looks to be well on his way to returning to that form this year. His price tag doesn't reflect that, making his upside especially appealing here.
