3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 11/13/18
Malik Monk, SG, Charlotte Hornets
FanDuel Price: $4,300
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.5
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.23
Malik Monk had a down game last time out, as he managed just 4 points and 12 FanDuel points in just under 18 minutes. Instead, Tony Parker turned back the clock and played substantial minutes alongside Kemba Walker in the Charlotte Hornets' two-guard sets.
However, Monk has been enjoying a nice second year in the league, averaging 20.0 FanDuel points, consisting of 12.5 points, 2.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds, in 23.2 minutes per game. In the five games prior to Sunday, he had double-digit points in each with at least 21.6 FanDuel points and maxing out at 24.0.
Given his role, the minutes aren't high enough to expect much more than five points per $1,000, but his floor is even higher given tonight's matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who rank 29th in our power rankings and 29th in defensive efficiency. Charlotte's implied total of 112.5 points is second on the slate only to the Golden State Warriors.
Facing a Cavs team allowing top-5 production to shooting guards, Monk is the second-best point-per-dollar play at shooting guard and the sixth overall value on the slate, per our projections.
