Toronto Raptors starting point guard Kyle Lowry is questionable for tonight's game against the Denver Nuggets. The clear fantasy winner if Lowry sits is Fred VanVleet, who would likely once again step in as the starter.

VanVleet has regularly responded to the call every time Lowry has missed time since the start of last season. In the five games Lowry has missed in that span, VanVleet is averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 29.1 DraftKings points in 25.6 minutes per game. When Lowry plays, VanVleet is averaging 8.5 points, 2.3 boards, 3.4 assists, and 18.8 DraftKings points in 20.6 minutes per game.

VanVleet saw 33 minutes of run on Saturday when Lowry was out, and we can expect to see him be similarly busy in what should be one of the more competitive games of the evening. We have VanVleet currently projected for only 20.2 DraftKings points, but that number assumes Lowry plays. If Lowry sits, expect that projection to rise significantly.
