Jordan Bell, PF, Golden State Warriors
DraftKings Price: $3,400
This pick is not for the faint of heart. There was a lot of buzz surrounding Jordan Bell's fantasy potential this year. That has clearly not come to fruition.
The second-year player is averaging just 2.5 points and 2.7 boards per game, hardly the type of numbers you'd want to target in fantasy. There are a couple of reasons why Bell could bust out tonight, however.
He's averaging 15.2 minutes in his past five games, 4.0 minutes higher than the 11.2 he was averaging before that. The Golden State Warriors are the biggest favorites of the night in a game against the Atlanta Hawks, which means he could get more garbage-time run in the fourth quarter.
The biggest reason for a potential bump in productivity, however, is the loss of teammate Damian Jones, who tore his pectoral muscle and could be out for the season. That loss won't benefit only Bell, but Kevon Looney and Jonas Jerebko also get a boost, so keep that in mind when building your roster.
Still, $3,400 is enticing for a player who looks to be seeing a minutes increase and has a matchup against an Atlanta team that is giving up the sixth-most DraftKings points to opposing power forwards and third-most to opposing centers in their past seven games. If you're looking to roster a few studs and need an uber-cheap player this evening, Bell could be a difference maker.
