3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 12/17/18
Russell Westbrook, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder
Price: $11,600
Russell Westbrook is averaging 52.1 FanDuel points per game this season, and if we look at only what has happened since he returned from his last injury absence almost a month ago, he's up to 53.2 in 35.5 minutes per game. In that stretch, he's averaging 19.5 points, 11.6 boards, 10.6 assists and 2.8 combined blocks and steals per game.
While there's certainly some risk of a blowout limiting his minutes tonight (the Oklahoma City Thunder are favored by 13 against the Chicago Bulls), he's averaging a shade more than 50 FanDuel points per game in the four contests since his return that have been decided by 15-plus points.
This matchup is also good enough that he's a threat to do some big damage even with limited run.
The Bulls have played at a fairly slow pace this season (19th), but combining that with a 21st-ranked defensive rating and 28th-ranked rebound rate has them giving up the 12th-most points, 9th-most assists and most rebounds per game to their opponents. A triple-double machine like Westbrook stands to really benefit from their generosity in all three areas, and the 8.5 steals per game (6th-most in the NBA) they allow gives him even more upside.
