Monte Morris, SG, Denver Nuggets
FanDuel Price: $3,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.94
Monte Morris wasn't the only Denver Nuggets player to see a reduced workload on Tuesday night. After playing at least 24 minutes in five straight games, the second-year point guard saw just 14 minutes in a 142-111 loss to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors scored an NBA-record 51 points in the first quarter, and it was clear Denver wasn't fighting its way back; heck, even Nikola Jokic saw just 23 minutes of run.
Morris' minutes had seen a dip when Gary Harris returned from injury, but Harris got injured again and has missed the past five games. He's questionable again tonight, but there's little reason for him to play as the Nuggets play host to the 10-34 Chicago Bulls. Unless the Bulls somehow transform into the Golden State Warriors overnight, another Harris absence should have Morris' minutes back into the 20s.
Before the Dub drub, Morris had scored at least 21 FanDuel points in three straight and four of his past five games. He's averaging 0.87 FanDuel points per minute for the season. With that type of output, he needs to play just a hair over 21 minutes in order to hit a value of 5.0 FanDuel points per $1,000 at his $3,700 salary.
We have Morris projected to return the highest value on the slate tonight.
