Some nights are filled with obvious value plays. Other nights, one has to turn to less exciting options. With few injuries to big names this evening, tonight's slate definitely aligns with the latter.

One player who fits the less-exciting, though generally fantasy-relevant, category is Minnesota Timberwolves forward Taj Gibson. After one of the best seasons of his career in the 2017-18 season, Gibson has taken a bit of a step back. At least, it seems that way when you look at his raw output.

Taking into account he's playing 7.8 fewer minutes per game this year than last, however, the story looks very different. Gibson's 14.8 points, 9.7 boards, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per-36 minutes are all higher than last year. The per-36 rebounding rate is the highest since his 2009-10 rookie season.

Gibson has scored at least 24 FanDuel points in each of the past two meetings against tonight's opponent, the San Antonio Spurs, and that's right where we project him to finish tonight.
