5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 2/28/19

Will Jeff Teague -- listed as questionable -- play tonight? If the answer ends up being no, then you have to strongly consider starting backup point guard Tyus Jones.

With Teague nursing a knee injury, Jones has started each of the past two games for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's scored 39.2 and 29.9 FanDuel points in those games, respectively, and he's now averaging 31.6 FanDuel points in the eight games he's started. On the flip side, however, he's averaging just 14.2 FanDuel points in the 31 games he's played with Teague, which is why it's imperative that you know Teague's injury status before rostering him.

That isn't to say you can't still roster him in tournaments if Teague does play; he scored 30.8 FanDuel points in just 17 minutes against the Indiana Pacers -- tonight's opponent -- when the two teams met on October 22. You should know, however, that it's a much riskier proposition. Case in point, our models currently have him projected for just 15.6 FanDuel points, a number that assumes Teague is active. Keep an eye on that number throughout the day, however, as it will jump if we receive word that Teague is out.
