NBA Playoff Race Update: The Milwaukee Bucks Punch Their Ticket

We have the same six "bubble teams" in the Eastern Conference this week as we did last edition, but there's been some interesting shuffling.

First and foremost, the Pistons have gone 5-1 since our last installment, moved up from eighth to sixth place in the conference in doing so, and have increased their playoff probability from 49.0% to a commanding 85.4% over that mere 10 days.

Meanwhile, the Hornets fell out of the top-eight after a 2-4 stretch while the Magic rode a 3-3 record over the same timeframe to take the eighth and final playoff spot from them.

It looks like the race for eighth place might come down to the Magic (48.2%), Hornets (43.0%), and Heat (33.6%), with the Wizards (7.4%) hanging on as a relative long shot, despite sitting only three games back of the Magic.
