3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 3/7/19
Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF, Milwaukee Bucks
Price: $12,500
Because of the obvious appeal of Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the natural tournament pivot today.
Yes, there's plenty of blowout risk, and he draws a much tougher matchup than Westbrook does, but you're also likely to get him with a significantly lower ownership number. And even without a great matchup, he offers plenty of upside.
He's topped 60 FanDuel points in five of his last 11 games, notching at least 75 in two of those and falling below 45 FanDuel points just once in his last 25 games.
He's having an absurdly efficient season, playing only 33.0 minutes per game (his fewest since his 2014-15 sophomore season) but averaging career-high marks in all of points (27.0), rebounds (12.6) and assists (6.0), which has translated to 55.8 FanDuel points per game on the year.
The tough Indiana Pacers’ defense certainly cuts into what we could project as a median score for Giannis, but we've already seen this year that this matchup certainly doesn't remove his upside. His highest single-game fantasy score of the season -- 79.3 FanDuel points -- came against Indiana last month.
