3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 3/12/19

Cleveland Cavaliers center Ante Zizic is making his second appearance in a row in this article. He jumped into the slideshow yesterday due to a spot start because of a Larry Nance Jr. rib contusion. While we don't yet know the status of Nance for tonight, we do know that the Cavs will be without Kevin Love. As such, Zizic should once again enter the starting five tonight when the team takes on the 76ers.

Zizic came out of the gate quickly last night, but wasn't needed much in the fourth quarter in a 25-point win over Toronto. He still finished with 17 points, 7 boards, and a very respectable 24.25 DraftKings points, which returned more than 6.0 points per $1,000. Salaries for tonight came out before his strong performance, however, which means we'll get a starting Zizic for just $3,700, $200 cheaper than yesterday.

Zizic is certainly always a target when he starts, but he's even better when Love isn't playing beside him. In five starts with Love this season, Zizic is putting up a solid 23.1 DraftKings points per game. In 12 starts without Love, his output is 25.3 DraftKings points, largely due to grabbing 1.8 more boards per game. We have him projected to play more than 31 minutes tonight and score 30.3 DraftKings points, which would return a value of nearly 8.2 points per $1,000.
