Since the calendar flipped to March, Rodney McGruder has seen a significant uptick in minutes. Over his last five games, the Miami Heat guard has played at least 20 minutes per game while averaging 25.5 minutes a night. As you would expect, the extra court time has helped his fantasy fortunes, with McGruder racking up at least 21 FanDuel points in three of the last five games. He posted at least 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in the three contests and can expect a similar line on Wednesday, especially if Josh Richardson sits out.

Richardson is considered questionable to play against the Detroit Pistons, as he picked up a hamstring injury early this week. The last time Richardson missed a game was back in January, coincidentally against the Pistons. In the game, McGruder got the start and finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in 30 minutes for 22.8 FanDuel points. At Wednesday’s salary of $3,600, that would bring 6.3 FanDuel points per $1,000, an exceptional value.
