The Detroit Pistons claim that starting point guard Reggie Jackson's ankle is fine after he limped off the court on Wednesday night. While that may be the case, it's plausible that the team holds him out this evening as a precaution, especially as the team has a 3.5-game cushion on the Orlando Magic for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and has a winnable matchup against the reeling Los Angeles Lakers, who will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

If he does sit, then it's likely Ish Smith enters the starting five. Smith has routinely played nearly as many or more minutes as Jackson has recently, regardless of his normal spot on the bench. If he enters the starting lineup, he could easily push for more than 30 minutes of run here.

Smith has played the Lakers four times in a Pistons uniform, averaging 20.7 FanDuel points in 20.9 minutes of run. He'll easily see that playing time tonight even if Jackson plays, putting him in play as a solid value play regardless.
