It looks like Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry could very well be out for tonight's game against the New York Knicks. If he is, then there is one player who is a near must-have tonight, and that's Fred VanVleet.

VanVleet returned from a 12-game absence yesterday and shook off any potential rust immediately, scoring 17 points in a surprisingly large 31 minutes of run. While it was Jeremy Lin who got the start yesterday, he played just 17 minutes, making it clear who the go-to is without Lowry on the court.

VanVleet has generally thrived when Lowry hasn't taken the court. In the past two seasons, he's averaged 18.2 and 21.3 FanDuel points with Lowry, and without him those numbers jump to 28.8 and 27.5 FanDuel points, respectively. If Lowry is ultimately ruled out, fire up VanVleet in all formats.
