NBA Free Agency Preview: 10 Lesser Talked About Names
Tyson Chandler
Once again, Tyson Chandler (10.6 nERD) could be on the move -- this time via free agency. The former Dallas center finished the season eighth among all players in nERD and second among all NBA centers. He was a big reason why the Mavericks won 50 games a year ago.
Not only did Chandler average a double-double, with 10.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, but he also posted career-highs in games played (75), Player Efficiency Rating (20.1) and Win Shares (10.3). Chandler's defense has always been among the best at his position, but he's also improved his offensive game -- he tied his career high with an Offensive Rating of 133 while tallying 7.2 Offensive Win Shares (also a career high).
If the Mavericks sign Aldridge, Chandler may re-sign with the Mavs. However, if the Mavs sign DeAndre Jordan, the 14-year veteran could be on his way out of Big D. If that's the case, we could more than likely see Chandler in Milwaukee this year.
