5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 2/8/16
Stanley Johnson, SF, Detroit Pistons ($4,900)
I'm not sure we need to add a ton of context behind the reasoning for considering Stanley Johnson tonight. With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope expected out through the All-Star break, he'll continue to see all of the playing time he can handle at shooting guard.
Starting in Caldwell-Pope's place the past two games, Johnson has played over 81 minutes while racking up almost 75 FanDuel points. And while Toronto has been fairly stingy with their fantasy production allowed to the shooting guard position as a whole this year -- they've allowed the sixth-fewest FanDuel points to the position -- DeMar DeRozan is not a matchup to fear. DeRozan ranks 78th in terms of Defensive Real Plus-Minus on the season.
Johnson's price is sure to see another increase soon if the production continues, so utilize him while it's still feasible to do so.
