The 3 Best Three-Point Shooters in the 2016 NBA Draft

Buddy Hield, Oklahoma Sooners

Alright, it didn't take long to get to the best shooting prospect in the draft. In terms of shooting percentages, Hield is just short of Forbes' standard, but as I alluded to, he's a more well-rounded player and scorer, without a doubt.

In his four seasons at Oklahoma, Hield scored a total of 2,291 points, with 1,535 of those coming in his last two seasons. He particularly broke out in his senior season, scoring 25 points per game on over 50% shooting from the field on his way to being named Big 12 Player of the Year.

Buddy did most of his damage in this fashion.

NBA scouts are aware of Hield's ability to take the ball to the basket and convert from the midrange, but his game inside the arc pales in comparison to the game he displays from 20 feet out.

On the season, Hield banged in 147 of his 322 three-point attempts for an Effective Field Goal Percentage of 62.3%. Hield's efficient scoring earned him .232 Win Shares Per 40 Minutes as he led the nation with 925 points.

A prospect of Hield's build and skill set most closely relates to that of a Splash Brother, Klay Thompson.
